The Women’s Heart Program at Yale-New Haven Hospital is dedicated to the cardiac health of all women, as well as improving the overall outcomes for women with heart disease. The program strives to educate women about their risk of heart attack, so that they can recognize the signs and symptoms.

The Yale-New Haven Hospital Stroke Center is dedicated to providing the best prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care and outcomes for patients with a wide range of cerebrovascular disorders, including stroke. The stroke program has received certification from the Joint Commission, which means that the care it provides has met the most stringent standards currently in use for stroke.
The Heart Truth® is a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (the NHLBI), part of the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Designed to warn women of their #1 health threat, The Heart Truth® created and introduced The Red Dress® as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women. The Red Dress® reminds women of the need to protect their heart health, and inspires them to take action. The NHLBI continues to lead the nation in a landmark heart health awareness movement that is being embraced by millions who share the common goal of greater awareness and better heart health for all women.

The Heart Truth® partners include: The Office on Women's Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; WomenHeart: the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease; the American Heart Association; and other organizations committed to the health and well-being of women.
